Consistent characters, page after page

One drawing becomes the story anchor, so the same characters, clothes, and colours appear on every illustrated page.

A picture book only works if the child on page one is still the same child on page six. Studio Plus keeps the characters consistent in three ways.

Start with a story anchor

When you plan a book with AI, attach one picture as the story anchor: a drawing from the Library, a photo of a paper sketch, a new camera shot, or something drawn on the canvas.

The app describes the visible details it finds, such as “Sam has curly dark hair and a yellow raincoat. Pip is a small, friendly purple dragon.” You review and correct that description before it is used. The reviewed details then guide the plan and every illustration, so the same faces, clothes, and colours carry through the book.

One art style for the whole book

Choose the look once, for example Soft picture-book watercolor, Cut-paper collage, Warm crayon texture, or Cinematic 3D, and every generated page uses it. When you generate the whole storybook in one run, the pictures are made as a coordinated set.

Continue from the previous page

To make the next picture, open the page’s media and choose Continue previous page. Describe what happens next and review the details to keep. Three switches decide what carries over:

  • Keep characters: the same child, dog, or dragon appears again.
  • Keep setting: the same place and background.
  • Keep visual style: the same look and palette.

Continuing a scene turns on all three. Picking a new reference keeps characters and style but leaves the setting off, so the kitchen can become a forest while the dragon is still your dragon. Your choices are saved with the page, so a retry keeps them.

Name what matters

Use the same short description for a character whenever they appear: “Leo, the young son in a green T-shirt.” Put must-keep details, such as “the dog is purple” or “keep the wonky chimney”, in the details to keep box.

Making a video book? Studio Motion carries the same characters from clip to clip.
